Final Soundslide

The Final Soundslide!

This project was arguably one of the most difficult projects we had all year in regards to using our creativity. The reason for this is because we could truly do anything we wanted for this project. So we truly had to produce a product that we could could call our own and be proud of. So simply in this product I was hoping to achieve something that i was truly proud of.
I found it challenging to create something that would accurately display my love of food and cooking. It was also difficult to gather and use proper pictures for the project. I had to think long and hard about the sounds to be used and the script that was to be used as well. However to solve these problems it was easy to figure out the solution, in that all I had to do was dedicate myself to the project and put in the appropriate work and hours.
I really enjoyed using garage band, soundslide, and all of the other programs involved in this project. I enjoyed all of the creative control and the whole process behind the whole thing as well. I am not extremely proud of the final result, but I am proud of it in a sense in the fact that it came together nicely.
If I had more time for this project I would have definitely worked better in training my voice for the project. Also I would have been more creative with the sounds involved in the project. But all in all I really enjoyed the project and it was a good way to to end the semester.

P.S. I really enjoyed this class professor and I hope I get the chance to take another class with you again at sometime. Have a wonderful summer!

Bibi Cards

Note: I could not find a way to get the adobe images up on the blog.

In this project I was hoping to achieve a similar bibi card to that of which was in the the Men's Health magazine that I had. For this project there was not to much decision making, and the only real decision making was choosing what type of font to use, and even that was predetermined by the bibi card.
This project had a variety of challenges that proved to be difficult. The first of which was getting the adobe pics on the blog, which I still found to be impossible. The next biggest challenge was sizing up the card properly on the MAC. I remember using measurements from a ruler, but having the programs distort the sizes on the MAC and making the bibi cards way to large. Besides these to challenges the hardest part was creating an accurate representation of the original bibi card. The only way to solve these problems was to constantly go back and readjust settings, text, or the size of objects.
What I enjoyed most about this project was the fact that I could use this skill in the real world for a job or to market myself. This is also what I am most proud of as well.
If I had more time for this product, all I would have done would have been to strive for a more professional looking product. I would have done this by probably employing photoshop or programs similar in nature. Beside that I believe I did a decent job.

My Website.

For this project, the class had to essentially design a website for the six-Panel brochure that they created. I created a simple website for the the spelunking service that I wanted to offer.
The thing that I found to be most challenging with this project was the coding. The coding had to be perfect or else the site would suffer many problems, such as pictures not loading or links being down. However this problem was easily solved by double and triple checking the coding. Besides that there were not too many problems with this project.
I feel that I learned a lot about the aesthetic appeal of websites through this project. I believe that I learned how to really reach out to the user and do my best to be user friendly. I was also very proud of the ease and flow of the site.
If I had more time to work on this project I would have liked to add animations or something more entertaining to the project. However, I still feel that the site came out well and I am very proud of it.

6 Panel Brochure

For this project, our class had to create a six page brochure that could be hypothetically used for commercial use.
All I was hoping for with this project was to create a six panel brochure. I wasn't necessarily trying to make it as pretty as possible, i was more a less just trying to create a functional format. And to achieve this all I simply did was follow the professors exact directions and add in a bit of creative flair. Once I got the basics down, I then attempted to add pictures and rotate the text. After achieving these small feats I decided not to push my luck anymore.
I found this whole project to be challenging just due to the nature of the constraints of the project. To work in a confined space was slightly difficult and to also have everything line up perfectly at the end was even more difficult. To solve, these problems all I did was listen to the professor and have the students around me lend a hand.
However once i got past all of these difficulties, the project was quite enjoyable and after completing I realized how much of a skill it really is to design a brochure. If I ever decide to go into the field of design, this will be an extremely valuable skill to have. This is probably the fact that I am most proud of as well.
Last if I had more time, I would have liked to used a wider variety of colors in the brochure to make it more appealing. Also, I would have liked to research the subject more so and get some exact facts on pricing and seasons for the service. But all in all, I feel this project came out pretty well.
